Progress after Christchurch Earthquake 2011
According to Christchurch Mayor, Bob Parker, the 6.3 earthquake that struck Christchurch on the 22nd February 2011 was 5 times more damaging than the 4th September 2010 quake. Eleven days after the big shake, the city is making slow steps towards physical and emotional recovery. This is amid piles of silt, extremely dusty conditions and roads that are split and torn.
